Geetha Govindam is a romantic/comedy film released in 2018. The story was written and directed by Parasuram. Vijay Deverakonda and beautiful actress Rashmika Mandanna are contributing here as the lead actors. Geetha Govindam is another beautiful, lovely Telugu movie I watched. This has become one of the 10 highest-grossing films in Telugu cinema.
In the story, Vijay Govind is a 25-year-old typical young lecturer who is trying to find his soulmate. In the promos, Vijay's character is introduced as "25-year-old virgin". Vijay is a man who has a lot of respect for women. All he has in mind is to find the perfect girl to marry. Meanwhile, at the temple, Vijay fortuitously finds a girl he is looking for. She is Geeta, a is a very stony person. As soon as he sees her, Vijay falls in love with her. Vijay makes a mistake when she starts to soften up on him little by little. As for the story, it's nothing new, but it does captivate the audience. It has some good humour because this humour is the reason why we are kept when the interest in the film is declining. The songs and visuals are really beautiful. They are visual treats for eyes. I feel like I keep looking at them.
Talking about the leading couple, they did a good job. Vijay Deverakonda plays the complete opposite of Arjun Reddy who is alcoholic, furious and very rude character. Simply put in Geetha Govindam, he plays the role of the ideal man of every girl's dream. Anyway, Rashmika Mandanna is absolutely gorgeous. She also has done an amazing job. A wonderful screen presence. I think you know that she is the National Crush of India in 2020. I also loved the performance of Vennela Kishore as Kishore.
This is completely an entertainer. If you love RomCom, of course, you are going to really love this movie.
