Bitcoin’s Market Cap Surpassed $200 Billion
Bitcoin (BTC) has again achieved a market capitalization in excess of $200 billion after its price gained 4.2% in the last day. Bitcoin's market capitalization now stands at $201.8 billion, up from $193.6 billion this time yesterday. Bitcoin's price just touched a 24-hour high of $10,930, following a week of near solid growth. This recent growth comes as large holders are increasing their BTC bags. Binance Organizes PUBG MOBILE Competition In Asia
Binance hold first ever PUBGM Esports Tournament for Asia Paific (APAC) called the Binance Battle of Asia. The tournament will be on the 22nd of September to the 2nd of October 2020. Five countries - Indonesia, Korea, Philippines, Thailand, and Vietnam - will compete with each other to find the Champion of Asia. This tournament is split into 2 rounds; Country Qualifier and Grand Final. Only participants that have successfully verified their Binance account will be eligible to participate. Crypto.com Integrates Chainlink To Power It's DeFi Wallet
Crypto.com has integrated Chainlink’s Price Reference Data into the Crypto.com DeFi Wallet on Mainnet to provide decentralized price feeds for DeFi tokens. In addition, Crypto.com will launch the decentralized price reference data feeds first for CRO/ETH and quickly followed by CRO/USD on the Chainlink Network in preparation for a deeper integration into the rapidly growing DeFi ecosystem. Max Keiser: Global Fiat Failure Leading Countries To Turn To Bitcoin
Bitcoin (BTC) bull and Keiser Report host Max Keiser says, investors and global powers would turn to store-of-value assets in the event of fiat failure. He said the market for gold would fail to satisfy the appetite for investors, leading to significant spill over into BTC and crypto-assets. Further he said, a global fiat failure, leading central banks to recognize BTC for its proven security and “99.9% fail-proof”. He predicted countries would begin to “subsidize” BTC mining in order to maintain it’s security and competition, leading to a subsequent explosion in price to as high as $400k. Microstrategy CEO: Microstrategy Bought 16,796 Additional Bitcoin Worth Of $175 Million
A day after publicly traded business intelligence firm MicroStrategy indicated in a regulatory filing that it might expand its Bitcoin holdings, the firm's CEO confirmed that it has done just that. MicroStrategy co-founder and CEO, Michael J. Saylor tweeted that MicroStrategy completed its acquisition of 16,796 additional bitcoin at an aggregate purchase price of $175 million. Tezos Will Power France's Central Bank Digital Currency Tests
Banking Giant Société Générale will use Tezos to test a Central Banking Digital Currency (CBDC) for France. This is the first significant test of a CBDC in Europe. France’s central bank has been pushing for the republic to be Europe’s first country with such a currency. Nomadic Labs, a Tezos research and development organization, announced it would be heading CBDC experiments based on the Tezos blockchain. Bakkt’s Bitcoin Futures Trading Volume Hits All Time High
Bakkt, a regulated platform for crypto asset custody and trading owned by Intercontinental Exchange, has reported record daily trading volumes for its physically-settled Bitcoin (BTC) futures contracts. On September 16, Bakkt announced that more than $200 million worth of BTC contracts had been traded over a single day — breaking its previous record by 36%.
